The role
A position has become available for a junior-intermediate landscape and civil estimator to join our team. We are looking for a capable, highly motivated individual with the drive to grow with our business. This is a full time position based in our head office based in Alexandria.
To be successful in this role, the applicant will be a self-motivated professional with a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Complete commercial tenders from release of tender through to handover, for contracts up to $3mil.
- Analysis of tender selection based on resources, timeframes and project requirements.
- Breaking down documentation into trades/suppliers and creating subcontractor scopes and packages.
- Measuring and quantifying all aspects of each project.
- Evaluations, comparisons and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- First principal pricing of hardscape, softscape and civil works.
- Construction programming and methodology writing.
- Formulating construction budgets for the site team.
- Assessment and pricing of variations.
Skills and Experience
To be a successful in this role you will:
- Proven previous estimating/sales experience with high attention to detail.
- Tertiary qualified and/or experience in commercial landscaping.
- Be team oriented and demonstrate an ability to produce information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook), OST and Workbench (not essential)
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
