We represent one of Australia's premier independent law firms who have a rare opening in the Environment & Planning team.

Our client's Environment & Planning team consists of pre-eminent partners in Brisbane who are all variously recognised as leaders in their field. 
  
The practice is recognised as a leader in Environmental and Planning Law. Working across government, property, energy and resources, infrastructure, utilities and manufacturing sectors, they specialise in environmental assessments for major projects, environmental incident management, planning approvals and advice, contaminated land management and environmental and planning litigation.

Position Description

This role will see you working most closely with two partners who have been recognised in Chambers Global, World's Leading Lawyers for Business.
  
You will be involved in a diverse range of regulatory and environment and planning issues.
  
This will include acting in major infrastructure projects, Planning and Environment Appeals, public sector planning issues, energy transition and resources projects, renewables, master planned communities and manufacturing.

Requirements

You will have at least 2 years' broad experience as a Planning and Environment lawyer with different types of planning law and regulatory exposure.

In addition, you will:

• have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as people skills;
• have an ability to apply natural creativity to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment;
• be team-focused but also able to work independently;
• have a strong academic background;
• a desire to advance your career in a top tier practice; and
• be proactive and have a positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service.
