About the role
To lead the GBS Communications and Engagement across all global locations where GBS operates. This role will be accountable for developing and successfully implementing the GBS Culture, Communications and Engagement plans in line with the GBS vision, purpose and culture aspirations.
- To develop, execute and continuously improve a fit for purpose communications and engagement plan for GBS in all global locations (Manila, KL, Australia, South America and other locations) that we currently operate in (for approximately 2000 employees in multiple shifts). This plans is to enable the GBS vision, purpose, culture aspirations and behaviors, by connect to the LT via your manager.
- To develop, plan and lead GBS Employee engagements (including SPARKS) in line with the GBS vision, purpose and culture, which will include activities related to Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion and Diversity and CSR). This will also include working with Global Rewards and the GBS HR BP’s to drive adoption and embedment of the culture aspirations and behaviors for GBS and reinforced in organization cadences.
- Implement and drive a Corporate Social Value framework and plan, for GBS with the purpose of establishing BHP GBS as an employer of choice and good corporate social citizen in the communities where it operates, through external partnerships aligned with CA and E&C. This includes engaging employees in charitable and community related activities and events aligned with the global BHP Social Investment Framework.
- Partner with global/regional communications and corporate affairs teams to enable GBS as a function within BHP and externally, developing and establishing its brand and image in line with its mandate and aspirations, through a wide range of internal/ external communication channels, and enabling and maintaining a 2 way feedback mechanism that is sustainable.
- Partner with the GBS LT on communications and engagement initiatives to drive and deliver organisation wide mandates, business updates, and global/local communications in a transparent and seamless manner for all GBS employees to drive it deliverables, utilising multiple and most appropriate channels. This includes partnering with the leadership on how to build and drive towards the future aspiration of the GBS organization and culture.
- Support, run and improve GBS Leadership and broader organization cadences to drive the GBS mandate and agenda across (e.g. townhalls, Managers meetings, TL meetings, YE events, etc)
- Own and drive content and the utilisation of social media and other digital channels for showcasing our GBS brand, vision, purpose and culture with the intent to embed and sustain.

- Experience in enabling change and working thru ambiguity
- Experience in Leading and Coaching BOS or equivalent lean practices
