Responsibilities
Hardware Support:
- Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and other hardware components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with vendors for replacement parts and repairs.
- Monitor and manage data center facilities, including power and cooling systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of networking equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with network administrators to resolve connectivity issues.
- Ensure proper cable management within data centers and network infrastructure.
- Assist in the installation and organization of cabling for servers and networking equipment.
- Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, and other IT professionals to support overall infrastructure needs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement IT projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all hardware installations, configurations, and changes.
- Create and update standard operating procedures for hands and feet support tasks.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hands-on infrastructure support.
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Knowledge of data center operations and best practices.
- Familiarity with cable management and structured cabling standards.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration within a team.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Customer Interfacing and Vendor Management Skills.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
