Where you fit in

As a CSU (Commissioning and Start Up) Lead Wellsite Operator, you will be working on all upstream assets from the Well sites to the export pipeline, this will be inclusive of all above ground assets, compression facilities and control systems. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of company safety policy’s and contribute to eliminating and reducing risk and hazards across the QGC business.

What’s the role?

You will responsible for supporting all aspects of Commissioning for QGC Upstream, including the commissioning of brownfields trial projects. More specifically:

  • Act as team SME for CSU scope of work and focal point for technician support.
  • Develop and Present morning Pre-Start meetings including D&A testing.
  • Execute / perform operation and optimisation of CSU wellsites & Trials.
  • Review Commissioning, plan and execute gathering system Purges.
  • Work within OEM guideline. Develop and administer field training to Operations teams for bespoke equipment.
  • Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously. Liaise with other technicians in the team to undertake repair activities.
  • Provide support for contracting staff working on or near process Plant, Gas Field Well Sites and/or pipelines from Well Sites.
  • Support E&I Techs and Mechanical Technicians by advice and recommendations on improvements in production and planned maintenance. Input to design change implementation.
  • Provide support in equipment performance checks. Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation system also including the CMMS
  • Maintain the housekeeping and orderliness of the maintenance Workshop/Containers and Laydown yards.
  • Provide support in major maintenance works such as turnarounds, well intervention, and other green and brownfield works.
  • Ensure shift handovers are undertaken with a face-to-face Handover of equipment and knowledge. Schedule and facilitate FAC handover walkdowns with Operations.
  • Provide support with the development of the Job Plans and Operations Procedures for all CSU equipment.
  • Develop, Verify & Authorise Permits and Isolations within scope. Issue CSU permits as required.

What we need from you

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • Process Plant Operations Cert III with significant post trade experience. Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • High level CSG commissioning experience. High- and low-pressure gas experience. (required)
  • Proven experience in CSG wellsite operation.
  • Proven experience reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, Quality Assurance knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience in team development. Proven ability to interact effectively with people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of industry standard, HSSE principles, role in asset processes and procedures.

The role is engaged on a 15 day on, 13 days off roster, and the incumbent will be required to FIFO. Site based Surat Basin.
