We are currently seeking an experiencedLead Educator to join ourteam. The ideal educator would be passionate about educating and caring for children but also a team player who offers support when required and is able to share their knowledge freely. Most of all a people person who also values relationships.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Delivering an innovative and high-quality educational program
- Create meaningful documentation
- Maintain the daily running of the room to the service standards
- Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children, and within the team
- Provide aesthetically pleasing environments for children that are rich and engaging both indoors and outdoors daily
- Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Have fun and interact with the children
Skills and experience
- Have a sound knowledge of the EYLF
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- A current Working With Children's Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Be experienced in a childcare environment
- Be organised and professional
- A genuine passion for the childcare industry
- Be proficient in using childcare software on an iPad and desktop
- Hold Certificate III, Diploma or ECT qualification
- Having prior knowledge of the Montessori philosophy is preferable but not essential
