PakCo's offerings are diverse and scalable, we can take care of just one part of your business requirements or we can take care of the entire contract manufacturing and co-packaging from start to finish.
PakCo is part of the 'Assemco Hub' located under the same roofline in Merrindale Drive and utilises shared services including; despatch, receiving, management, HR, OHS, admin and finance services. Having access to these services at minimal cost assists PakCo to be competitive in the food packaging industry.
A 38hr per week casual Lead Kitchen Hand (3-12mth Maternity Cover) is now available.
Reporting to Operations Manager, responsibilities include:
- Execute and oversee the production of items as per the established recipes and specifications for clients.
- Ensure that all production meets the set standards for taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Collaborate with management to plan daily and weekly production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ingredient replenishment.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the consistency and excellence of all prepared food items to be made.
- Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to uphold the highest culinary standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient production process.
- Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to culinary standards.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and product filling.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes in production requirements and adjustments / recipe methods.
- Innovate and suggest improvements to enhance the overall efficiency and quality of the production process.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, management, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Report any issues, challenges, or potential improvements to the production manager.
- The role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often requiring extended periods of standing, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to various kitchen equipment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in similar role:
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Creativity and the ability to contribute.
Specialist knowledge, competencies, and skills:
- Australian Working rights
- Valid Car driver's licence (Essential)
