- Lead system requirements for the Revenue Accounting team across development, maintenance, testing and administrative activities. Please note, you do not need Revenue Accounting knowledge/ experience for this role. It is more focused on system & process improvement for the division.
- Lead project activity for Revenue Accounting across VA Group, ensuring successful delivery as it relates to revenue
- Develop and maintain best practice policies and procedures for Revenue Accounting, including appropriate controls, to ensure revenue is recorded in an accurate and timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Revenue Accounting based on a strong understanding of systems, processes, and procedures
- Manage industry governance and compliance obligations for Revenue Accounting
- Foster a positive working atmosphere within the Revenue Systems and Process Team
- Active participation in working with other teams within Finance and other areas of the Business towards a common goal
- Management of Revenue Accounting systems processes and controls, including issue resolution, testing, upgrades, enhancements, and implementation
- Coordinate system and Process changes between outsourced service provider and team SMEs, to ensure continuity and integrity of Revenue Accounting services
- Partner with the business, particularly Commercial and IT, to ensure engagement on proposed changes and business requirements captured for Revenue Accounting
- Ensure up to date understanding and compliance of relevant submissions regarding IATA, tax and other regulatory authorities
- Undergraduate degree in Business (or strong aviation industry experience)
- Either; experience as a Business Analyst, or in a Systems/ Process Improvement role, or airline experience in a ticketed environment
- Ability to build effective working relationships and deliver high level service, advice and support to meet the needs of diverse work units
- Experience in the successful delivery of key projects and initiatives, working across multiple stakeholders in the business
- Project management experience is highly advantageous
- Strong ability with Systems and system improvements
- Previous exposure to Finance/ Revenue Accounting is advantageous
- Fares & Ticketing knowledge is highly advantageous
