Our Client is looking for a Leading Hand to lead the charge in installing solar structures across various project sites. If you're passionate about sustainability, enjoy hands-on work, and thrive in a dynamic team environment, this role is tailor-made for you!
As the Leading Hand, you'll be the backbone of the installations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. From coordinating site works to assisting production in the Southern Highlands facility, you’ll play a large part in their mission to change the world, one solar canopy at a time.
With onsite projects typically spanning 2-6 weeks across sites in NSW, this role involves regular regional travel. Applicants must be able to work away from home (approximately 50%-75% of the time). Weekends are excluded and a Living Away from Home Allowance is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise site works, ensuring precise installation of solar canopy structures.
- Collaborate with project managers to resolve technical issues and plan project executions.
- Manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Uphold safety and quality standards, monitoring workmanship and implementing corrective measures.
- Drive continuous improvement, participating in post-project evaluations and iterating processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Trade qualification in Electrical or related field.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
