This is a permanent full-time position, that will see you working across the South-Eastern suburbs and other Greater Melbourne Metro areas.On a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved as a key leader of a construction crew undertaking the installation of new water mains, mainly within new subdivisions.You'll be a proven leader who can support and motivate site teams – ensuring the focus remains on safety, quality, cost and schedule in the planning and execution of work.Core responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of SWMS and leading daily pre-start meetings to address all site requirements;
- Scheduling, forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and subcontractors;
- Coordinating with the engineering team to develop and maintain project programs;
- Providing weekly/monthly program updates;
- Recording daily productivity targets and documenting delays and issues;
- Managing/monitoring project costs;
- Resolving daily site issues;
- A strong commitment to safety;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Civil construction/water main construction experience
- Proven experience leading a team
