A great opportunity exists for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join the team at Davcon Constructions on a permanent full-time basis.
In this role you will perform general carpentry duties on several residential and commercial construction jobs across the Bathurst region.
A standard workday will be 7am to 4.10pm Monday to Friday with the first 7.6 hours each day paid at the base rate and the first 2 hours after that at time/half then on to double time if required.
About you
As the successful applicant you will be an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter that has:
- Experience in new residential & commercial construction.
- At least 2 years of trade experience post apprenticeship
- Construction Induction White Card
- Current driver's license
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Your own tools of the trade (large item plant and equipment will be provided)
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team supervising apprentices.
The following would be advantageous:
- Hr truck license
- Experience operating Excavators and/or Skid Steers
- EWP license
- Forklift License
- First Aid certificate
- Willingness to work overtime and some Saturdays when needed.

About us
Davcon Constructions are a Bathurst based construction company completing a mix of Residential and Commercial projects in and around the Bathurst area.
The residential work is predominantly construction of new home ranging in value from $300,000 to $1,000,000. The commercial work is quite varied with some new builds to renovations with project values up to $5,000,000.
