Golding is currently looking for an experienced Leading Hand Fitter to be based at Jellinbah Mine located near Blackwater. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to apply learnt skills in a small, tight knit team whilst learning new ones on the way. They will have a hands on and practive approach with the ability to think on their feet 

This role will operate on a  5on| 4off| 5on| 5off  rotating day and night roster.

A Local Housing Allowance applies to Locals and camp accommodation and meals will be provided for non locals.

Key role tasks: 

• Frontline supervision of workforce ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with legislation, Golding and site procedures and policies
• Assist supervisors with directing, mentoring and assisting maintenance personnel as required
• Monitor and maintain fleet critical spares
• Liaise with maintenance planning and production for fleet requirements
• Carry out plant inspections and review other plant inspections as required
• Supervise and coordinate service & shutdown activity or appointed task that requires extra focus (troubleshooting)
• Conduct shift start if handover if required
• Carry out Supervisor duties in Supervisors absence 

 Equipment on site

• Excavator - Caterpillar 6060;
• Haul Trucks – CAT 793C, 793F Rear Dump Trucks;
• Ancillary – CAT D10T D11T Dozers,CAT 16M Graders, CAT 773 Water Truck, CAT IT28G Loader.

 Role Requirements

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate;
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment highly desirable
• Experience with  CAT 6060 Excavator highly desirable
• Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision;
• Knowledge of SAP highly desirable;
• Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm;
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic;
• Sound problem solving and analytical skills;
• Current Drivers Licence;
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & Drug and Alcohol test;
• Proven heavy mobile earthmoving equipment experience in a production mining enviorment.
