Council is embracing its position as a growth area and is striving to create a thriving and connected community. We are therefore looking for an experienced Civil Operator/ Supervisor to help support this growth in a full time position.
Position Overview
The Leading Worker will play a crucial role in delivering Council’s Capital Program. Working with the Team Leader, the role will be supervising Council’s Civil Construction Team plus external contractors to deliver the unsealed roads program and other civil construction works as required.
Qualifications
Extensive Grader operations and civil construction experience is essential. Previous supervisory experience in the civil construction and previous local government experience is also an advantage.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader – Infrastructure Operations, responsibilities of the position include:
- Improve regional and local infrastructure
- Improve the quality and diversity of the built environment
- Improve infrastructure maintenance and management practices
- Leading a team to complete capital programs
The successful applicant will demonstrate high level skills in communication, customer service, time management, problem solving along with the ability to work as part of a team.

The position is offered as a full time employment in accordance with the Local Government Employees Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $79,409 to $81,142 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
