About the Role - Learning & Development Specialist
We are seeking an Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist who will be primarily responsible for the development and rollout of L&D strategies across the organisation, ensuring compliance and individual development obligations are satisfied.
In this role you:
- Consult with operational stakeholders and our Quality/ Practice team, develop and maintain the Care Connect Learning/Capability framework
- Plan, schedule and coordinate all mandatory training activities across the organisation
- Lead the scheduling, co-ordination and delivery of new starter welcome/ induction programs
- Create and maintain an annual training plan and schedule all mandatory programs well in advance, ensuring that all details are provided on Dashboard
- Review development plans from annual Individual Performance Review and recommend a prioritised list of optional programs.
- Administration of L&D programs, including all records, analysis and providing advice to managers and staff on L&D matters.

To be successful, you have:
- Experience in developing a Learning/Capability framework
- Committed to ensuring that all education products and programs meet operational needs; keeps things simple and effective whenever possible. Reduces barriers to learning.
- Demonstrates a can-do, action-oriented approach
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), together with a sensitive approach to working with people of varying backgrounds, roles, seniority.
- Appreciation of and some exposure to HRIS
- Experience in the health sector would be advantageous but not required
- Tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development or similar (e.g. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and/ or extensive experience in a L&D role
- Part of our selection process requires the completion of psychometric assessments
- All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory National Police Check conducted by Care Connect
- A valid Working with Children Check supplied prior to employment
- A statutory declaration confirming Australian residency status (an international police check/s may be required for non-residents)
