About the Role
The Learning & Development team are seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the Permanent position of Learning & Development Specialist.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager and working in a dedicated team, you will be accountable for leading and managing employee learning and development in accordance with business requirements, whilst contributing to risk management and compliance within the Corporation. You will also be responsible for managing and delivering learning and development programs for employees in accordance with business requirements and contributing to the overall strategic direction and progression of training within the Corporation.
In addition, you will:
- Coach, mentor and lead training resources to deliver on GPC’s training strategy;
- Develop the infrastructure for all Learning & Development initiatives by establishing standardised methods and procedures for delivery, evaluation, measurement and reporting;
- Maintain the mandated compliance training programs to ensure that the programs are developed in accordance with established standards and are properly tracked within employee profiles;
- Plan, direct and coordinate learning objectives and instructional strategies including developing the best methodologies for training delivery aligned to business needs;
- Manage the integration, implementation and operation of the corporations Learning Management Systems (LMS) to create a central repository for all learning and development data;
- Report on identified gaps and source and schedule optimal training interventions to address such identified gaps in conjunction with line management;
- Facilitate compliance to corporate and role specific mandatory training through positive engagement with leaders and compliance reporting;
- Collaborate with line managers to ensure employees have Learning & Development programs in place that are closely aligned to strategic business initiatives and plans;
About You
You will have extensive experience practically applying adult learning principles, utilising competency based models, be adept at delivering strategic initiatives and have a strong focus on building relationships with key stakeholders.
You are required to hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, with tertiary qualification/s in Adult Learning and Development, Human Resources or Certificate IV Work Health and Safety considered desirable.
