Albion North Primary School was established in 1962 and is located in a residential area of Sunshine North within the Brimbank Council local government area. In recent years, there has been significant renewal of the school buildings and grounds providing the school community with bright, modern teaching and learning spaces. All members of the school community are encouraged to be actively involved in the home-school learning partnership to enable children to reach their potential at school. We currently have an enrolment of 218 students. The school¿s values ¿ Integrity, Fairness, Caring, Respect, Inclusion and Teamwork underpin all programs at the school. Our focus is to continue to improve student learning outcomes particularly in English and Mathematics. This is done through the application of current research-based teaching and learning practices and is supported through professional learning for staff.
Albion North Primary School follows the Victorian Curriculum that is developed by the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA). At Albion North Primary School our teachers analyse student learning data which is collected in a variety of ways to plan a high-quality teaching and learning program for their students. Every student is treated as an individual and learning programs are created and differentiated to suit the students' needs.
The role of the Mathematics Learning Specialist is full-time out of the classroom and involves a portfolio of Instructional Coaching, in addition to other duties as directed by the Principal. For more information, please contact the Principal, Joanna Uzunovski, via the school office: 9312 5900.
