Sitting within the Employee Experience unit in People and Culture, we develop and deliver key programs, initiatives, and services across the full employee lifecycle. We deepen engagement, cultivate continuous learning, and foster a culture of care and belonging.
Reporting to the Senior Learning and Development Advisor, you will use your excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills to create engaging, high quality learning modules, guides, and other resources to improve capability and compliance across DCS.
You'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to uncover business problems, capability gaps and learning needs, so that you can recommend fit for purpose learning solutions.
- Designing interactive and engaging content, drawing on recognised learning theories, design techniques, and best-practice elearning practices to meet organisational needs.
- Proactively evaluating and enhancing existing learning solutions to ensure positive learner experiences and the achievement of business goals.
- Actively contributing to the development of learning and development processes, activities and projects, collaborating across teams to enhance service delivery.
You'll be driven to help others be their best, using your expertise to make complex concepts easy for everyone. Enthusiasm may not be your middle name; however it will be the energy you bring to every conversation as you collaborate to solve problems. With an eye for detail and a focus on deadlines, you'll be known for delivering on your promises and enabling others to do the same. Most of all, you love working in a team and be comfortable flying solo, getting things done and learning fast.
About your day-to-day
With a busy development agenda, things can get busy so you can expect to work in a team that uses a pragile (practical agile) approach to getting things done. You'll be responsible for leading the way on your allocated learning modules and have support available if and when you need it. With connections right across DCS, you'll work with senior stakeholders, frontline team members and leaders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the design, creation and deployment of interactive and engaging instructional content and sound knowledge of best-practice elearning approaches.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities.
- Project management skills and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service focus and relationship management skills.
- Ideally, relevant tertiary qualification.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $106025 base plus superannuation
