Learning Support Officer
Fixed Term Contract
Hours of work - Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.15pm.
A Catholic Co-educational College for students in Years 7 – 10, Catholic Regional College North Keilor welcomes applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officer to join the College on a full-time Fixed Term Contract for the remainder of the 2024 school year.
About the role:
The Learning Support Officer will foster the learning and wellbeing of students with additional learning needs and will be responsible for helping students to access the curriculum by supporting them in the classroom. They will do this in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
The Learning Support Officer will be responsible for:
- Providing support to students with additional needs
- Assisting with the College’s response to the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process
- Providing effective, accurate and comprehensive support for all aspects of Learning Diversity initiatives.
- Adhering to all Child Safety legislation and College requirements.

Skills and Experience:
Suitably qualified and enthusiastic applicants who are prepared to support the religious ethos of the College and possess the following are encouraged to apply:
- Demonstrated evidence of working with students and staff in classrooms to support student learning outcomes
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all members of the College community
- Demonstrated proficiency using computers- the internet, email navigation and Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students
- A Certificate III or IV qualification in Educational Support or equivalent
- A current Working With Children Check and National Police Record History Check and is a suitable person to engage in child-connected work
