This is an opportunity to be part of a high performing team at a new state of the art, purpose- built campus for our University Partner, University of Canberra Sydney Hills (located in Castle Hill, Sydney NSW). The campus currently offers programs in Nursing, Early Childhood Education and Public Health.

We are seeking applications for a Lecturer in Nursing to teach students in our Master of Nursing Practice (Graduate Entry) which is currently undergoing accreditation. 

Key Responsibilities:  

As a Lecturer in Nursing, you will contribute to our strategic objectives, particularly our strong commitment to providing an exceptional student experience and high-quality innovative teaching and learning practices.

Contributing to the success of our students, you will work collaboratively with academic staff at the University of Canberra Sydney Hills to deliver tutorials, seminars, workshops, practical classes and support students on professional placement experience. Duties also include student consultations, moderation activities and marking meetings and relevant administrative duties as required. 

The appointee will be expected to make contributions to the teaching at the University of Canberra Sydney Hills campus and online.

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Tertiary qualification/s in Nursing, including a Doctoral level qualification relevant to Nursing or near completion.
• Eligibility for unconditional registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Demonstrated ability to provide high quality education to students.
• Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes including online delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to support students, particularly international students.
