About the Role

The Lecturer in Psychology will produce high-quality research and deliver innovative teaching at Flinders University in Psychology, particularly in areas including cognitive, experimental, biological, developmental, and/or quantitative methods. As an Academic Teacher and Researcher, you will strengthen partnerships with stakeholders to help improve outcomes for learning, research, and student success. You will be involved in producing quality publications, delivering teaching that enhances the student experience at University, supervising research students, topic planning and evaluation, academic counselling and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders including industry professionals. Other University responsibilities include maintaining professional development, attending College meetings, and promoting opportunities for graduate employability.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Teacher/Researcher capable of teaching at a high-quality tertiary level, including topic coordination and curriculum design. You will have a strong research track record, particularly aligning with and the wider College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. You are an excellent communicator in all formats, particularly in your ability to establish relationships with students, staff, and industry partners, as well as being experienced in online teaching. You will have a completed PhD.

In addition, you will also demonstrate:

Capacity to teach in areas related to cognitive, experimental, biological, or developmental psychology and/or quantitative research methods.

An understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research, and scholarship.

Demonstrated capacity to contribute to the supervision of honours and/or Higher Degree Research Students. (Desirable)
