About the role
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity in this newly created role for a Lecturer to join the team. You will be responsible for postgraduate teaching in an innovative online setting across the discipline of International Relations, which will include leading some of the following subjects:
• Asia-Pacific in the 21st Century
• The Future of the International Order
• Reframing International Political Economy
• Geopolitics and Australian Foreign Policy
• Research Methods in International Relations
• Research Project in International Relations
You will also be responsible for conducting research within International Relations with an open specialisation. The position will be based at the centrally located UTS Campus in Ultimo and will report to Associate Professor Andrew Hurley.
About You
The ideal candidate to join our team will be a dynamic and dedicated professional who brings a breadth of teaching and research skills to the School. With a proven track record in providing high-quality, innovative online teaching experiences in International Relations courses at a postgraduate level, you will also have a demonstrated history of excellence in curriculum development in a related field.
Successful applications should also have:
• Doctoral qualification in International Relations or a related field
• An excellent track record of publications and/or grants in the field of International Relations, commensurate with opportunity
• Knowledge of pedagogy in both traditional and innovative online International Relations education
• Experience in subject and/or degree coordination
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $117,420 to $138,973 pa (Level B)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a continuing basis. Ideal start for this position is July 2024.
