The Opportunity
The Department of General Practice has two positions available as Lecturer (Practice) where you will play a pivotal role in crafting curriculum and pedagogical practices that foster a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. Leveraging your professional expertise, you will bridge the gap between academia and industry, enriching our programs with real-world insights. Your contributions will empower students to navigate the complexities of their chosen field, ensuring they emerge as adept and globally competitive graduates.
The Lecturer (Practice) will expand student engagement in practical, industry-oriented learning experiences, including pioneering initiatives aimed at enhancing our coursework programs within the Faculty. Your guidance will be invaluable as students embark on their educational journey, fostering connections with professional bodies, industry leaders and government agencies. Together, we will cultivate strategic alliances that drive faculty initiatives and provide students with unparalleled opportunities for practical work experience.
We are seeking someone who holds a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice or equivalent specialist qualification in General Practice and have significant clinical experience as a medical practitioner in General Practice. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated teaching experience is required for success in this role. The successful candidate will also have a passion for engaging in academic activities and the ability to prioritise and achieve objectives.
