Whatwill you do?
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be involved in teaching,research and consultancy in key learning areas. Duties will include:
- Teaching and coordination of practical ministry units covering skills such as preaching, evangelism, discipleship, and church leadership along the teaching of other units as needed or requested;
- Administration, monitoring and/or coordination of student practicums and externships;
- Undertaking scholarly research and activities related to practical ministry;
- Contributing to research teams, particularly those that align with the Scripture, Spirituality & Society Research Centre;
- Contributing to the administrative duties of the Seminary including representation of the Seminary on selected committees
Essential criteria:
- PhD or DMin in a practical ministry area;
- A minimum of 8-10 years in local church pastoral ministry;
- Demonstrated experience in inspiring and motivating student engagement;
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a team member; and
- Supportive of the mission, values and ethos of Avondale.
- Willingness to abide by the Code of Conduct for Seminary Academic Staff
Desirable criteria:
- Relevant experience in tertiary education.

LecturerLevel B range: $106,125 - $124,916 per annum + superannuation
SeniorLecturer Level C range: $123,748 - $133,278 per annum + superannuation
AssociateProfessor Level D range: $163,368 - $172,224 per annum + superannuation
ProfessorLevel E range: $181,668 per annum + superannuation
