The role
Due to growth, this is a new role within our inhouse Legal and risk team, who provides advice to G+T's senior management, Practice Group Leaders and Partners on a range of issues and facilitates compliance with applicable laws and legal best practice.
Operating in a fast paced and agile environment, this role is varied and will see you:
- Assist with legal, risk and Compliance issues that affect the firm.
- Assist with the internal conflict clearing process and the resolution of any identified conflicts.
- Manage the establishment and maintenance of information barriers, collaborating with in-house lawyers and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the firm’s securities trading clearance process.
- Provide training on policies and procedures.
- Monitor and update multiple firm registers.
- Support on a variety of risk and Compliance issues and key projects and initiatives
- Provide support to the General Counsel and assist with ad hoc admin duties
We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn and to be involved in a broad range of activities and tasks and who is a great team player.
In addition, you will have:
- A very high level of attention to detail and strong communication and project management skills
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- A passion for process improvement
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team working skills
- A strong client service ethic and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across G+T
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks and stakeholders with the confidence to ask for assistance when needed
- Previous administration experience, ideally within professional services (desirable, not essential)
