AddressLegal Assistant
Seeking a Legal Assistant to join a law firm, providing comprehensive support to the Personal Injury Team. Based in Waterloo and offering on-site parking, this role will be ideal for someone who loves to work behind the scenes and help support the broader team with administrative duties.As a successful candidate you will be responsible for all activities that facilitate the smooth and efficient completion of administrative tasks within the Legal team.
About the Role:
- Manager and direct mail and ensure prompt dispatch of correspondence.
- Liaise with stakeholders: Handle client calls and gather details from prospective clients and update the referral database.
- Assist existing clients and coordinate appointments and conferences.
- Diary and File Management: Maintain solicitor diaries and update spreadsheets.
- Correspondence: Prepare legal documentation and correspond with clients and parties involved.
- Updating solicitor diary, posting court dates in electronic diary and booking conference rooms
- General ad hoc administrative and secretarial duties.
- A fundamental understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Suite and Legal Software, preferably Leap.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team.
- Keen attention to detail with strong time management and organisational capabilities.
