About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Sydney office for a full-time Legal Office Junior to join our CTP Major Claims team. The team is led by two Partners with Specialist Accreditation in Personal Injury Law working across a variety of major and catastrophic claims for various CTP insurers. Our Lawyers strive to provide exceptional customer service and legal advice to our clients, and as a Legal Office Junior, you will play an integral part in supporting our Lawyers as they progress each matter from receiving instructions, through to settlement or trial. Your ability to be a true team player will be valued as you step in to assist the wider team of Lawyers and Secretaries in this hands-on role.
You will have a varied workload, and some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- e-Filing and sending electronic correspondence
- Collating briefs to Counsel and letters of instruction
- Accounts processing and billing
- Data and file management
- Court filing
- Liaising with various external stakeholders, including medico-legal groups, Courts, barristers and other law firms
- Drafting of some correspondence and Court documents
- General administrative duties as required
About you
This position is an entry-level, full-time role, and would be suited to a recent school-leaver looking to start their career in legal support. Prior experience in a law firm is not required, and trianing will be provided. If you're looking to start your career with a nationally recognised law firm, and gain exposure to a broad range of litigated insurance matters, this could be the perfect first step in your journey.
