A 3rd or 4th year law student required to work part-time at a boutique law firm in North Sydney.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic law student in their third or fourth year of study to work as a Receptionist/Law Clerk 2 days per week, available to start in ASAP. Prior legal experience will be highly regarded. The role requires strong communication and legal research skills.
About the firm:
We are an established boutique firm with more than 35 years’ history of servicing private and business clients in commercial litigation, family law, employment law, property and commercial transactions and wills and estates. As a Receptionist/Law Clerk, you will be exposed to a wide variety of practice areas. You will work with our lawyers and support staff in a friendly and supportive environment.
The role:
As Receptionist/Law Clerk, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Reception duties – greeting clients and answering phone calls
- Legal research and drafting memo for lawyers
- Preparing legal documents
- Drafting blog articles
- Collecting and sending mail
- General administrative duties
Based on individual performance, over time the role can potentially lead to a paralegal position in which you will have an opportunity to work closely with our senior associates and principal.
