Responsibilities
- Day-to-day administrative operations: ensuring that all legal work is completed efficiently, and deadlines are adhered to.
- Document analysis: transcribing and proofreading legal documents.
- Scheduling and revising, arranging court depositions, hearings and client meetings.
- Supervising invoices, budgets, and resources: managing the financial resources of the legal department, including creating and monitoring budgets, processing invoices, forecasting expenses, and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Document submission: filing documents with the court ahead of deadlines.
- General administration: filing, organising, scanning, copying and faxing legal reports and documentation.
- Staff Collaboration.
- Client and team relations: coordinating with clients and lawyers to ensure that legal services are delivered effectively.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience as a Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant, or relevant role.
- Experience with or ability to use legal software.
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).
- Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise important projects.
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.

- Qualification in Law would be desired.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience with Filepro or Leap is desired.
