We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Lifestyle and Leisure Assistant who is enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced to deliver lifestyle and related activities in our residential aged care area. This position is PPT both Saturdays and Sundays, with the ability to work additional shifts during the week. You will be supported by a Lifestyle and Leisure Coordinator, an After-Hours Coordinator, and a Facility Manager who is on-call. Your typical day would include engaging residents with Dementia-friendly activities, walking groups, and having fun with our residents!
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Essential: Cert III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy
NDIS Worker Screener check
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated experience with implementing activities and programs for older people, including those living with dementia.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, computer knowledge, and time management skills.
Knowledge of OH&S requirements and responsibilities, including infection control and emergency procedures.
Desirable: Medication Competent qualification.
