About the role

Our client is seeking a Level 3 Engineer (Network) on a fulltime permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be familiar with managed service systems in small – medium sized businesses. This position includes site work which involves liasing with clients so good communication, time management and strong relationship development skills are a must. 
 

Role requirements

• Carry out the site and system audits 
• Guide clients with corrections and system changes if required 
• Site documentation updates 
• Deliver regular maintenance, monitoring, management, remediation, and emergency support to  key clients. 
• Check weekly scripts to attend to system alerts
• Attend bi-monthly site visits for visual checks of hardware

Skills

• Effectively work across Microsoft Network Technologies
• Demonstrable experience as an L3 Desktop Engineer 
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Network Engineering 
• Adept at Microsoft Network Technologies 
• Strong knowledge of Essentials server and other small business IT technologies (RD services etc) 
• Work proactively and attend to any future service requirements with clear communication with the client
• HPE servers and HP workstations 
• Windows 10 /Server 2016+ 
• RD Services /Thin Clients
• Netgear, Sonicwall and Draytek
• VMware Hypervisor ESXi
• MS Exchange 2016&365, SQL
• LAN /WAN technologies
• Backup, Imaging, NAS, & Data Recovery solutions
• Sound knowledge of IPv4
• Sound understanding of ethernet switching technologies.
• Sound understanding of IP routing and forwarding
• Networking Ceritifications
