Level 6 Senior Project Officer

Location: Perth CBD (Candidate must be Perth based or willing to relocate)

Role Responsibilities:

• Supports the research and analysis of strategic issues for the MARS Program.
• Prepares reports and briefs and liaises with organisations commissioned to deliver initiatives for the MARS Program.
• Analyses evaluation reports and proposals in order to make recommendations that inform strategic direction and funding considerations.
• Assists with the development and implementation of effective communication between Departmental officers and external stakeholders, including providing executive support to advisory committees.
• Represents the Division on relevant groups, committees, working parties and public forums.

Role Specific Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate and implement programs and projects .
• An understanding of the workplace health, safety and wellbeing and/or an understanding of the mining industry, including its Work Health and Safety laws.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a range of stakeholders in various contexts to gain their support and achieve results.
• Highly developed conceptual, research and analytical skills including the ability to provide solutions to difficult problems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with limited direction. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
