Role Responsibilities:
- Supports the research and analysis of strategic issues for the MARS Program.
- Prepares reports and briefs and liaises with organisations commissioned to deliver initiatives for the MARS Program.
- Analyses evaluation reports and proposals in order to make recommendations that inform strategic direction and funding considerations.
- Assists with the development and implementation of effective communication between Departmental officers and external stakeholders, including providing executive support to advisory committees.
- Represents the Division on relevant groups, committees, working parties and public forums.
- Contributes to or responsible for the achievement of corporate objectives through effective management by ensuring that stakeholders are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
- Builds productive working relationships with community stakeholders to ensure effective community engagement, provide opportunities to input on policy and to facilitate agreement of mutually beneficial solutions.
- Provides effective leadership within corporate policies and procedures, acts with integrity and ensures staff demonstrate ethical behaviours aligned with the Department Code of Conduct.
- Performs other roles/tasks as directed.

- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate and implement programs and projects .

- Highly developed conceptual, research and analytical skills including the ability to provide solutions to difficult problems.
