Things You’ll Do:

• Maintain quality library services including issuing and returning of loans, shelving and tidying of material, holds system, customer queries and membership.
• Assist and support the promotion and delivery of library programs, resources and services to the community.
• Cover library and customer service points as required.
• Utilise library resources and technologies to engage and assist customers.

The Fine Print:

• Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated week commencing 5th February 2024.
• Package:  $40,352 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation
• Study: Willing to travel to Ultimo TAFE to complete 12 month Certificate 3 in Library and Information Services.
• Hours of work: Temporary full time position working 35 hours per week, with an option of 19 day month for maximum period of 18 months whilst completing a Cert III in Library and Information Services (Study to be completed at Ultimo TAFE). 
• The libraries hours of operation are between the hours of 8.00am - 9:00pm Monday to Sunday (including public holidays). To maximise your on the job learning, you will be rostered based on the operational need of the libraries and with team members to support your development.

**To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication, you will be required to produce evidence as part of the application process. Successful applicants are subject to ID checks, Functional Assessment, Reference checks, Qualification checks, Working with Children checks and Work Rights verification.
