Library Services Officer (Part Time) (Fixed Term) (Chinchilla Library)
About the Opportunity
Based at the Chinchilla Library, you will be responsible for delivering Library services and public programs.
This position is Part Time (20 hours per week), Fixed Term until 30 July 2024.
Reporting to the Library Delivery Supervisor, you will:
- provide a quality library service, including reader advisory, circulation & support for digital literacy;
- engage with a wide variety of community groups and individuals to establish networks and deliver public programs through Libraries and the Communities Department; and
- provide a timely, effective and accurate level of service including financial records, documentation, record-keeping, transactions and reporting.
About yourself
The successful applicant will have:
- a high level of digital literacy with an appetite for early adoption and application of emerging technology trends;
- experience with customer service and meeting deadlines;
- experience with accurate cash handling, receipting and reporting; and
- a Working with Children Blue Card or be able to obtain one.
