The Role
The Library / Customer Service Officer, reporting to the Library Administrator - Cardwell, will work collaboratively with customer-facing teams across the organisation and will undertake a range of duties working with Libraries, Museum and Customer Service. The role will provide support to deliver a great customer experience and promote a positive organisational culture.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:45 - 17:00 & Saturday 8:30 - 12:15.
Types of tasks may include:
Library
- Deliver library services
- Plan and deliver library programs and events
- Contribute to the maintenance of library collections
Customer Service
- Action customer enquiries and complaints
- Work in conjunction with other Council departments to coordinate information requests
- Handle and reconcile financial transactions
About You
You will take pride in your work and enjoy working in a team environment. You will have completed a year 12 certificate or have gained equivalent knowledge through work experience.
Demonstrated excellence in presentation;interactive communication; and Customer Service skills. Have competence in the use of Microsoft Office application and a proven ability to learn new technologies.
Relevant experience in Customer Service and/or libraries will be highly regarded.
