About the Role:
To support and grow quality Lifesaving Services and programs whilst reinforcing SLSQ’s standing as the ‘Peak Body’ for surf Lifesaving Services and standards. Collaborate with the SLSQ sport team to support surf sports in the Region; coordinating athlete, official & coach development and ensuring compliancy and structure is in place. The North Queensland Region includes five clubs from Port Douglas to Mission Beach.

Required Education & Experience:
Essential
- Current working with Children Blue Card.
- National Police Clearance, Proof of Identity Check (Points of identification & Working rights).
- Open Drivers Licence.
- Commitment to empowering and respecting children and young people and understanding of child safety and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to interact proactively with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
- Excellent ability to generate rapport and manage positive stakeholder engagement.
- Bronze Medallion.
- Certificate II in Public Safety.
- Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of presentation of work.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a client focused service without compromising the legal framework and professional standards of the organisation
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment of SLSA Trainers and Assessors.
- Well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of Surf Lifesaving or similar community-based activity.
- 4WD induction and Recreational Marine Drivers Licence.
