Lifestyle Assistant
Andrews House Residential Aged Care Facility – Trafalgar
Permanent Part Time – 56 hours per fortnight
Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant Grade 1 or 2 (IN31-IN32)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of a leisure and Lifestyle Assistant. Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Facility Manager. You will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides the support and entertainment to residents living at Andrews House. This stimulating role would suit someone enthusiastic, creative, flexible, enjoys working within a team and is dedicated to providing great service to their client group.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Certificate 4 in Leisure and Lifestyle
- A Driver’s license (willing to drive a 10-seater vehicle)
- Basic computer skills (including Microsoft applications and willing to learn the facilities recording system)
- Willing to work the occasional weekend
The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:
- Experience in a leisure and lifestyle role
- Experience in Aged Care
- passion for improving people’s quality of life
- interest in cooking, arts, crafts, music and general entertainment activities
IMPORTANT: All workers in Aged Care facilities are required to have three doses of COVID vaccination and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of this vaccination will be required to be provided as part of this application.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
