Biala Services is a boutique not for profit organisation located in Charlestown, NSW. Biala provides support to the Aged members of the community at risk of social isolation along with participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Biala operates predominately in the Lake Macquarie/Newcastle regions.
Due to significant growth, Biala is seeking applications for casual Lifestyle Support Workers. You will predominantly be placed with participants with a disability however there may be some shifts with Biala’s Aged program, Inspired Aged Living.
Biala is looking for fun, energetic and passionate people who are enthuastic to provide a enjoyable support to service users. No two days will look the same and you will need to be adaptable and show initiative and ready to jump in to lend a hand when necessary.
Essential requirements:
- Current WWCC
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
- Completion certificate in NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Certificate 3 in Individual Support or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work weekends and afternoons/overnights when required.
- Being able to work in a fast-paced environment in a calm and collected manner.
- Ability to perform administration and cleaning tasks as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- A loyal, trustworthy, team player
- Willingess to work overnight and weekend shifts
Desirable:
- Current working knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
- NDIS Worker check
