Little Tuna Team Leader (Seafood Processing and Manufacturing)
If you want to be part of an exciting innovative company bringing Australian tuna back to Australian consumers, this is the job for you. Little Tuna is seeking a highly motivated and organised Team Leader to join their company from Monday to Friday.
This position will work on site of Cairns Little Seafood Market with the Little Tuna team.
About Us:
Cairns-based Little Tuna catch their tuna locally from waters internationally renowned as some of the most prolific fishing grounds in the world and are the company to exclusively sell Australian-caught preserved tuna. We’ve grown from a start-up to become the largest Australian caught owned and made tuna manufacturer in Australia.
Known for this innovative way to operate and seeking a highly motivated new Team Leader to assist with production, leadership and growth.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the Little Tuna team to ensure KPI's are met, and production needs met (canned tuna and sardines).
- Follow and ensure the team follow “Little Tuna Canning Procedure”.
- End product distribution and logistics.
- Stock management, ordering and re-ordering.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as directed.
Selection Criteria:
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, people and networking skills to successfully liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Competent working skills in Microsoft office, including word, excel and outlook.
- High Attention to detail, confident skills for problem solving, time and organisational management and the ability to develop practical solutions.
- Provide assistance and support of any requirements of the Business Owner’s across a range of activities.
- Draft and prepare routine letters or reports as needed.
- Packing and processing orders.
- Current Drivers’ License.
- Occasionally assist with retail.
