We also support people with mental health and gambling concerns and those transitioning from correctional centres. We are looking for a full-time Lived Experience Advisor, to be based in our Spring Hill Office. This pivotal role empowers you to guide and enhance our organisation-wide strategies, ensuring that governance and operational decisions are profoundly influenced by Lived Experiences.
Salary for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 plus Superannuation and Salary Packaging options up to $15,900 per year.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to have a personal Lived Experience of substance dependence and or Mental ill-health, service use and recovery.
Your Opportunity
Lives Lived Well is committed to harnessing the unique perspectives of individuals with Lived Experiences to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our services. As a Lived Experience Advisor, you will play a central role in embedding these perspectives into our core operations and strategic directions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising the executive team on Lived Experience initiatives;
- Leading the development of the LLW Lived Experience Strategy; and
- Implementing policies and procedures to bolster our Peer/Lived Experience Workforce

What you bring
As an engaging and passionate person, with the ability to connect with a broad range of clients, family members and carers, you will offer exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the following:
- A robust understanding of project management principles, and capability in planning, organising, and delivering project outcomes effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to produce high-quality, well-researched reports
- Drive and energy to achieve outcomes with a mindset towards innovation
You will need to have a current Australian Driver Licence, and a current Working with Children Blue Card. Qualifications in a relevant field would be beneficial, and if successful you will need to complete a National Police History Check.
