The Casuarina site is constantly growing. We are looking for an experienced trainer with previous barista skills to work perm part time, 27.5 hrs, across Monday - Friday to deliver a fun and engaging Barista Short Course through the Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) Program.
The Position
As an LLND Trainer your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and contextualised language, literacy and numeracy training.
- Teach students to develop and practice barista skills, food hygiene and customer service skills through a variety of hands on activities and classroom learning
- In Class activities include: coffee knowledge, espresso machine operation, milk stretching, making different types of milk coffee, food handling and food hygiene, how to provide service to customers, how to write incident reports and fill out job application forms
- Provide flexible delivery, adapting resources to meet the individual needs and learning goals of clients.
- The ability to problem solve and overcome challenges to meet the requirements of the contract.
- Undertake accurate assessment and record keeping to ensure compliance and consistency.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher level adult education qualification.
- Hold the Foundation Skills Upgrade Units (or ability to obtain).
- Must have previous experience as a Barista
- At least 100 hours of Adult education experience.
- An understanding of and respect for diversity and Indigenous Australian culture and customs.
- A minimum of two COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory.
