Logistics Admin Officer – Mildura

Sunraysia Stockfeed (as part of the Tasmanian Stockfeed Services (TSS) group) has a new feedmill and grain storage facility in the final stage of development in Mildura and has a new career opportunity for aLogistics Administration Officer to join the business. Based at our new Mildura site, the successful candidate will support business operations by undertaking all the office, administration and logistics requirements for the site.
This role will require someone who likes a challenge, is flexible, and willing to learn and pitch-in with whatever tasks are required at the time. A person who is meticulous and thorough and who can think on their feet and adapt quickly to changing situations would suit this challenging and dynamic position. You will be an excellent communicator who is a highly professional, proficient and enthusiastic supporter to internal and external stakeholders.
This is a new role which will work closely with key stakeholders to manage all logistics requirements for the Mildura site (incoming and outgoing stock). The role will be responsible for liaising directly with suppliers, customers, freight and container packing contractors etc to ensure all logistics requirements are scheduled and occur on time every time. The role will also ensure all administration requirements are documented and processed in a timely and accurate manner in the required system.
This role will also provide other site support such as weighbridge dockets and load sampling, general office and reception duties, picking up site supplies/parts, assisting with the development of site documentation and the implementation and management of business accreditations (e.g. Feedsafe, AQIS) etc. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop and grow within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking full responsibility for logistics management for the Mildura site
- Providing excellent customer service to key stakeholders and maintain close contact with suppliers/customers/contractors at all times
- Manage all administration and office/reception requirements for site
- Ensure Mildura logistics scheduling supports current and emerging business needs
- Ensure communications and computer/data systems are up to date and accurately reflect all logistics movements
- Office duties including visitor management, managing incoming calls, weighbridge operations, ordering and pickup of site supplies, document management, assistance with maintaining site accreditations etc
- Administration duties including accurate data entry into relevant systems and spreadsheets including processing orders, weighbridge dockets, invoices and payments
- Operation of various computer systems and software (e.g. Agtech, MYOB, Microsoft suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word)
Key capabilities required include:
- Qualifications in logistics and/or business administration or similar, otherwise equivalent relevant work experience
- Demonstrated exceptional internal/external customer service, logistics management and administration experience in a similar environment with proven ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders
- Operates with professionalism and enthusiasm, has excellent customer service skills, networks well across all levels of the organisation and is a confident efficient individual who instils confidence in others
- Works in a methodical and highly organised manner, with excellent accuracy, attention to detail and time management
- Proven ability to thrive in highly dynamic, challenging and fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills with proven ability to follow matters through to conclusion
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and confident phone manner.

- High level computer literacy and data management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel.
