This role is responsible for promoting and supporting operational and service excellence with particular focus on coordinating all specialised freight services Domestically and Internationally across air, sea and road transport.
What you will do in the role
- Quoting and booking of specialized freight for Local, Interstate and overseas deliveries.
- Communicating with internal business units on specialised freight solutions and pricing.
- Communicating with freight forwarder partners to organise international export and import shipments.
- Creation of import and export documentation, invoices, bill of landing, and any other relevant documentation.
- Managing email ticketing system, ensuring response to queries are actioned within SLA.
- Engage collaboratively with management in implementing strategies; to increase efficiency and decrease errors.
- Liaise and engage with freight providers for processing of claims for damaged or lost freight.
- Maintain accurate records within ERP system.
- Organizing and servicing customer onsite collections.
- Participate in the development, documentation and maintenance of warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Utilising Startrack portal to book consignments.
- Provide operational support across the warehouse as required.
- Assist with weekly warehouse consumables ordering and general admin duties.
What you will need to succeed in the role

- Understanding of Logistics and freight.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A team orientated approach with “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution.
- General enthusiasm to learn new things, and engage on new projects.
- Experience with ERP/WMS ideally Pronto.
- Forklift license - optional
