The Role
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for liaising with our transport/shipping companies to ensure that goods are delivered and received in full and in a timely manner while ensuring the customers and the business expectations are met.
Manage the flow of Company goods, minimising inventory and throughput times yet maximising service.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- The effective performance of Logistics activities.
- Coordinating and arranging all aspects of deliveries of goods to achieve deliveries in full and on time.
- Assisting with inventory control when required.
- Managing inter-company transfers/ deliveries.
- Implementing and maintaining truck slot bookings with all incoming and outgoing freight.
- Day to day coordination of incoming and outgoing trucks and delivery of all orders according to the delivery plan scheduled.
- Delivery in full & on time through most efficient distribution outlet.
- Monitoring and updating Freight reports including freight cost analysis, efficiency of truck utilisation.
- Monitoring transportation performances (reporting of DIFOT and other reports as required).
- Displaying a positive working relationship with all stakeholders.
- Extracting data and presenting reports as needed related to logistics.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Customer relationship building.
- Ensuring staff understand and adhere to policies, guidelines and safe Workplace Health & Safety practices.

About You
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience, abilities, and personal attributes:
Qualifications/Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in logistics management experience within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- A strong knowledge of C.O.R. and load restraint legislation
Skills and abilities
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and strong ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- Exceptional time management & organisational skills
