About the role
Clinical Labs is currently seeking a Logistics Manager (full time) accountable for the South Australia Region based in Adelaide, South Australia.
This role is focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our logistics network, including transportation network design and optimisation, and Inventory management process and system (ERP) design and optimisation.
Working with both State and National stakeholders this is a rare opportunity responsible for Courier Operations, Fleet Management and Stores distribution.
The position will suit a self-motivated individual who demonstrates an attention to detail, a can do attitude, and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.
Key accountabilities of the role:
- Leading the SA Courier Team to ensure quality and on-time delivery for all services.
- Complete analytics in business process to identify opportunities and report on performance.
- Assume a lead role in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our SA Logistic networks.
- Recruitment, selection and retention of courier and stores team.
- Organise and prioritise logistical workflows to meet performance goals and business requirements.
- Fleet Management responsibilities for vehicle utilisation in line with national programs, local requirements and maintaining compliance.
- Oversee Stores Functions including day to day running and operations.
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
- Proven experience in operations / logistics / supply chain management with a focus on continuous improvement in team performance, operational efficiencies and financial performance.
- Lead, manage and supervise the teams including providing advice and direction on workforce allocation (rostering), facilitation of team and/or toolbox meetings.
- Experience in people matters such as performance management issues and participation in performance improvement plans and disciplinary matters.
- Strong time management, organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service at all levels.
- Ability to consistently maintain compliance with Australian Clinical Labs Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
- Experience in WH&S matters relevant to the courier, fleet and stores departments, including compliance with WH&S policy, WH&S management systems, all relevant safe work procedures including reporting all WHS incidents and non-conformances.
- Demonstrated success in the leadership of change projects with multiple stakeholders and the ability to effective relationship building skills.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications will be well regarded.
