AddressDommar is a long-standing South Australian company with over 34 years proven experience in Construction Project / Contract Management, requires a number of suitably qualified Project and Contract Managers to work with our Tier One clients on various new large iconic Social Infrastructure Building Projects (ie schools, universities, hospitals, prisons, aquatic centre, community housing, etc) located in or near the Adelaide CBD, South Australia.
Ideally, the professionals we require will have tertiary qualifications in either architecture, engineering, project / contract management or similar with a minimum 5 to 10 years experience with delivery of major Social Infrastructure Building Projects. A number of positions are to be fill for either Project or Contract Managers with immediate start offered with min 12 to 24 months engagement and potentially ongoing indefinitely with new works constantly arising. Tasks and duties listed below for the position of Project or Contract Managers:
- Working with Dommar in the role of either Project or Contract Manager in the Superintendent's team for one of our Tier One national clients to support management of their stakeholders and construction contractors to safely and effectively deliver major Social Infrastructure Building Projects and/or a program of such works each ranging in value from $5m to $500m plus.
- Experience as a Project or Contract Manager to direct works with both technical / commercial acumen with a focus on safety, community, public and environmental management, strong team leadership with effective communication / documentation skills.
- Experience leading multi-discipline teams, manage and coordinate designs, approvals, costs, time and quality for a multitude of disciplines when delivering the Social Infrastructure Building Projects.
- Project Management of safety include risk management and mitigation through design and construction delivery using proven - best practice methods.
- Contract Management of project budgets and procurement with appropriate cost controls, critical and Contractual time frames, including a focus on safety and quality of deliverables.
- Undertakes project health checks and reporting, including construction / contract delivery status of the works.
- Sound proven delivery experienced with high negotiations and communication skills with relevant project stockholders and the construction contractors with a team focus towards providing technical and / or commercial assistance to ensure safe and positive delivery outcomes.
- Experience to manage and engage across complex internal and external stakeholders include local communities, public and businesses, required to negotiate mutually acceptable outcomes.
