This role is based in our brand new advanced manufacturing plant in Adelaide.
The Role:
Due to the expansion and construction of a new manufacturing facility at our Edinburgh North site, an exciting opportunity exists for a proactive and strategic Industrial Engineer with manufacturing experience to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a key leadership role, reporting to the General Manager of Operations. The suitable candidate will be responsible for coordinating all day-to-day operations and ensuring both internal and external customer requirements are met. You will have proven success in implementing organisational change and be an innovative thinker with extensive experience in improving operational efficiencies and enhancing productivity.
Your main tasks include but are not limited to:
- Development and review of internal and external WHS policies, programs, and documentation
- Monitor flow and quality of work output, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Accountability for operations and P&L.
- Monitor both machine and labour productivity also minimising down time
- Optimise resource utilisation and scrap reduction
- Liaise with various Joyce departments and locations regarding foam requirements to ensure adequate stock levels are available.
- Production planning of foaming and conversion, scheduling, monitoring and control.
- Manage and coordinate local and interstate deliveries.
- Manage accurate inventory of warehouse materials
- Managing production staff, training and administer job rotation
- Document creation including risk assessments and JSA's
- Manage production schedules
- Provide supporting data to encourage productivity analysis and continuous improvement.

Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and/or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or production related experience
- Knowledgeable in continuous improvement principles as well as problem solving techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Flexibility regarding hours of work
- Good analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and hands on approach in executing tasks
