On-site Logistics Manager
Are you an experienced Logistics Manager with a passion for delivering complex projects on time and within budget? Do you have the skills and qualifications to lead a team of logistics professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the On-site Logistics Manager position at Moorebank.
Our client is a global leader in providing innovative and reliable solutions for baggage handling, parcel sorting, and warehouse automation. They are looking for an On-site Logistics Manager to join their project team in Moorebank, where they are installing a state-of-the-art automated system for a major customer.
As an On-site Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete logistics process on site, which includes:

• Coordination of container delivery
• Unloading of containers and trucks
• Staging materials in dedicated staging areas
• Entering equipment and storage location details in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Delivering equipment to staging area on site as requested by site team
• Managing lifting processes
• Updating WMS for all shipping activities

You will also manage the site logistic teams, labor and drivers (forklift/telehandlers/trucks), with a total team size of up to 8-15 FTE. You will ensure that the site is compliant with OH&S standards and coordinate deliveries from suppliers with shipping departments. You will also plan and execute equipment inspections in warehouse with the customer and coordinate timely delivery and clean up of test products with the test and commission teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience of logistic supervision function, preferably on a larger construction project
• Team player with strong supervisor skills
• Experienced user of Microsoft office software
• Experience in working with Warehouse Management System
• Experience in working with a company where safety is always of the utmost importance
• HR-LF license - preferable
• Strong focus on OH&S, in particular on load assessment

This is a temporary position for 6 months initially, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. You will work 10 hours per day, with occasional Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm. You will report to the Project Manager, and have direct reports from the Logistics Team (currently around 6-8).
