The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-orientated Logistics Manager to join our team. We are flexible with the base location of this position and will consider applicants from Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Newcastle regions. In this newly created role, you will spearhead the management of our Logistics function across the region, driving excellence, enhancing financial performance, and making a significant impact on our organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – Australia, your main responsibilities will include:
- Strengthen international and domestic freight operations, ensuring seamless advice and support for the Australian divisions.
- Lead a team of international and domestic Logistics Officers, organizing the coordination of a complex network of international and domestic freight movements. This includes fostering collaboration with HEPI stakeholders, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and consignees.
- Implement management strategies to ensure the smooth flow of logistics operations, contributing to the overall success of the Australian business.
- Generate essential documentation for shipments and seamlessly process them within the ERP system, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the workflow.
- Utilise expertise in global export and import regulations, including Tariff Concession Orders (TCOs), Harmonization Codes (HCs), and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Stay abreast of the dynamic landscape, ensuring a comprehensive understanding to navigate and comply with international trade intricacies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Incoterms, classifications, and regulations, showcasing specialized knowledge in Air & Sea Logistics to diverse destinations across Asia, Africa, Australia, North, and South America.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including Logistics Providers, fostering strong and effective communication channels for seamless coordination and mutual success.
- Cultivate robust relationships with Logistics providers, actively nurturing partnerships to guarantee streamlined operations and fostering effective collaboration for optimal outcomes.
- Strategically negotiate competitive logistics rates with a focus on commercial considerations, ensuring not only timely deliveries but also the highest level of service excellence.
- Oversee logistics costs attentively, analyzing and offering valuable insights to management regarding cost-saving opportunities and the commercial value to the Australian Business Operations.
- Collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain Team.
- Supervise and orchestrate import and export shipments with a keen focus on key customers and HEPI Australian business units.

- A proven track record of successful leadership in Logistics management is essential.
- Strong analytical abilities to effectively analyze data and make informed decisions, reducing costs, and driving operational improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with Pronto or similar ERP solutions.
- Previous experience using Pronto or other ERP systems.
