This is a fixed term, full time vacancy until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension or permanency, subject to business requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Special Operations Group (SOG) provides specialist 24/7 armed emergency response and security support services for all correctional facilities within the State. SOG also provides surveillance and intelligence gathering, high-security escorts, specialist training and exercising.

The Logistics Support Officer is responsible for the maintenance, repair and control of emergency and operational equipment and logistics for the group to support prison operations.

ELIGIBILITY

  • In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people working directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.
  • Possess a current valid Western Australia class “C” and “MR” vehicle driving licences.
  • Possess a current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation or equivalent (e.g. Senior First Aid) received from an accredited training provider.
  • A willingness to undertake a Digital Evidence Management System Course or similar, as determined by the employer.

Subsequent Vacancies
