Logistics Team Member

Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Logistics Team Member to join us through this exciting growth period. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to the production of high quality parts manufactured on time, every time. 

Previous logistics, despatch and/or storeperson experience would be highly regarded, but far more important is that you’re positive, work well in a team, have strong attention to detail, and are a proactive problem solver.

AW Bell was established in 1952 and has evolved into an award-winning manufacturer and supplier of high-tech casting solutions globally. 

Renowned for our ability to produce complex metal parts for some of the most demanding applications in aerospace and defence, as demonstrated by our involvement in the F-35 program (see video below), we are now set for significant growth with additional capabilities in titanium and non-destructive testing.

About the role:

The responsibilities of the roles include (but are not limited to):

• Contributing to a positive, safe work environment.
• Goods receiving and quality inspection.
• Ensuring that the right goods are in the right place at the right time, and in the right state. 
• Controlling all stock movement into and out of stores.
• Identifying and correcting any discrepancies in the company ERP system. 
• Tracking incoming deliveries and verifying that parts are received correctly and in good condition.
• Working with suppliers to resolve issues where parts are not received correctly. 
• Handling, storage, packaging, and delivery of products. 
• Liaising with local couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
• Working with and communicating with other departments to ensure product flow
• Improving productivity of the warehouse with new ideas and solutions.

About you:

As our ideal candidate, you have the following experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Enjoy being physically active. 
• Are crystal clear in your communications and understand who needs to be aware of what. 
• Great attention to detail.
• Are switched on, display initiative and love to be proactive
• Are organised, methodical and put systems in place that allow you to keep track of your tasks.
• Understand processes and are continually looking for ways to improve them.  
• Prior experience using a forklift highly regarded.
